Disclaimer: Your feelings might get hurt after reading this but I don't give a damn because I want to convey the facts to you on point(as it is ) and not beat around the bush. So be prepared to get your feelings hurt.
The above title is a thought that must have arise in your mind at a point in your lifetime (most probably when your were sweet, innocent and dumb). This is the thought that must have come into your mind after seeing a child being praised by his pupils.
You must have thought "Why am I not special?" Why I do not get praised by anybody?" .The thing is that the "praise" you long for is actually a form of validation, this is what I and a million other people call being an attention whore. You just want people to tell yourself that you did something right and if they don't then you get upset. "Why doesn't he/she like what I did?", I put my heart and soul into this".
Look yourself in the eyes and just ask yourself a question : Do you care about what people will think about you ? If yes then you are a fucking idiot, if no then congrats you actually use that empty pit of yours called brain. You shouldn't let people decide what is right or wrong for you. Do you know the feeling when people tell you that you should do this and do that and when you try doing something different, it puts them off and then they just humiliate you by saying that you should not do something like this and they leave. You are just another random person for them. So what I am trying to say is that if you don't know what your hobby or passion is ,it is okay try exploring different things that you like who knows you might be a natural for something you didn't even know about.
So after all that philosophical talk that I just said what I want to say is that you don't need to special and be praised by others. Never seek validation from anybody if you feel you want to do something then do it, try to solve your own problems don't rely on some Tom, Dick and Harry to solve your problems cause you know yourself better than anybody else and that's a fact( not even your parents or friends completely know you). Finally I will end this cause I think the above "प्रवचन "(lecture) is enough to knock some sense into anybody who is reading this.
